A few firsts

Benjamin laid in his crib for the first time on Tuesday.
He hasn't napped in there yet, but we have put him in it a few times just to get him used to it.
He seems to like it.

Benjamin started wearing 0-3 month sleepers this week.
(He's too long for the newborn ones.)
He also used his last newborn diaper today.
He is officially wearing size 1.  Sigh.
He's still newborn size in his pants.  Short legs.

I took a picture of Josh when he wasn't looking. :)

I put Benjamin in our Moby wrap for the first time yesterday.  It is very soothing for him.
You can notice from this picture how brown his eyes are getting.

Benjamin started getting baby acne this week.  It looks much clearer in this picture,
but it has a tendency to look worse if his face is warm.
He has a small scratch from his nails (despite my having recently trimmed them)
healing up under his left eye.  Looks much better from the day before.
Overall it has been a great week.  We're looking forward to the weekend...
Quality time with Josh & other family too. :)

Baby's 1st Bath

 Hello everyone!

I'm 3 weeks old today, and I had my very first bath.

You can see me here after I got out of the tub.
Momma set me on some towels on the floor, wrapped me in my robe,
and she put lotion all over my body.
For some reason my skin is dry & flaky in some areas, so hopefully that will help me.

After my bath I decided that I would be sporty.
After all, Daddy has been watching a lot of Braves games and the Olympics,
so I figured I would join in the festivities.

Although I barely cried (when I was being soaped up),
taking a bath is still hard work.
Plus, that lotion massage relaxed me.
I returned to my alter ego, Baby Burrito,
and took over a five hour nap.

Mom hadn't been able to take a nap with me on Friday or Saturday,
so she made up for it today by napping with me this morning and evening.
Even with two naps today I think she's going to bed very soon.

With all that rest she was able to do some of my laundry,
make my crib, and wash all the bottles that we've had to use.
I'm almost back to nursing, but she's still having to pump to help
her body get better milk production post-steroids.

Overall, we had a great Sunday.
My other accomplishments of the day were:

Multiple 5+ hour naps
Being weighed, I'm now 8 lbs 8 oz.
Producing my first booger when mom suctioned my nose
(To quote mom, "EWWWWwwwww.  Tissue, tissue, we need a tissue.")

That's all for now.  Only 10 days until I'm officially 1 month old.
Mommy's trying not to think about me growing up so fast.
