Sunday, June 23

We had a rough night to start our Sunday since Benjamin didn't do well sleeping in his Pack-N-Play, and we had a Queen sized bed instead of our usual King -- AKA crowding.  Plus, the bed needed a new box spring.  So, our night was a bit rough.

We had an entire day of leisure to make up for it though.  We seriously didn't do ANYTHING.  It stormed later in that afternoon and evening, so we didn't even go down to the pool or beach.  It was a good day to rest because none of us felt all too great.  Sinuses, mostly.

The view from our condo:

My handsome sleeping boy. (His outfit says, "Wild About Mommy.")

As you will notice in many of my posts, I find my muse in my sleeping child.  lol.

Read anything good lately?

At Pop Pop's work

This was right before we left for our vacation to Disney in October 2013.

Notice my dad's wall of Benjamin.

It was downpouring when we left to go home. We were thankful for the parking garage.

We stopped at a rest stop to use the facilities and stretch our legs.

Teething baby.

Our lunch/dinner was at Bahama Breeze in Atlanta.  Mmmm!

One of our favorites, Mango Habanero wings.

I tried a watermelon appetizer. It was okay.

It was a great end to a good week. ;)

One more day at the beach before traveling home.

A beautiful sunset on our last night.

Saturday, June 22

Our family vacation this year was to Orange Beach, AL which is very very close to Gulf Shores, AL, and likewise very very close to the FL line.  We left Saturday morning, stopping at a few rest stops and eating at a Chipotle (which was quite yummy).

Benjamin did quite well, but I did end up in the back seat with him the last hour or so because he had gotten tired of riding in his car seat.  Thus the picture...

After we settled in at Regency Isle, we headed out for a late dinner and then a visit to the local Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market.

Despite sleeping on the way down, Benjamin was still like this by the time we went to dinner at Sea-N-Suds.

He managed to stay asleep during our entire HOUR wait, and we enjoyed this view.

He woke up when we got inside to eat.  Our big boy ate an entire half of a Grilled Cheese plus some things from Mama's plate.  He also drank his own water from his own kiddie cup w/straw (We had inadvertently left his sippy & other things in the Explorer which was parked across the street).  We also enjoyed our food.  I had some Cod for dinner which was good.  Everyone else was pleased with their meals as well.

Overall it was a good start to our trip.  More to come!

Catching up on long forgotten drafts of posts...

Here's more from our trip in June to Orange Beach.  This day was a leisurely day at the resort. Benjamin got to experience the sand more so than previous days. He even touched it/sat in it without screaming.

And, a cute pic of cousin Christianna.

Parenting at its best

Benjamin's current favorite show:  Bubble Guppies
This is a sometimes, not all the time activity, of course.  Love that he is using his chair.
