Da Bubbles!

It's neat, and kind of funny, to go back and look at incomplete posts on my blog that have just been sitting in drafts for a while.  Here is one from back in June of Benjamin playing with our (at the time) relatively new Bubble blower.

I'm pretty sure I was modeling a new haircut at the time.  My hair was cooperating much more then in the summer months versus our cold dry winter months right now.

Only Child Expiring June 2014

We are happily expecting Baby Holder #2 on June 24th.  I am 12 weeks along, and I have been sick virtually all day everyday since 4 weeks.  I am happy to report baby and I are healthy.  We are grateful for your prayers as we celebrate this miracle.

Baby is profile with the arrow pointing at his/her nose

Baby is still profile with a bent elbow and fist near his/her mouth.  I believe there might be some thumb sucking going on.

Be still my beating heart...

I just can't get enough of my child's cuteness.  I felt blessed to get some cute pictures of him playing outside on Tuesday.  Believe it or not, he really doesn't smile all the time.

Count me as feeling even more blessed to get even more cute pictures while we played outside tonight!

I love this boy so much. :)

Catching up

Apologies for being so very absent on the blog for over a month.

A quick one for the evening to show how much our boy is growing.

This was pre-haircut this evening:

 And post-haircut:

Yes, he is getting some length to him.
He's in about the 85% percentile for his height and 50% for his weight.

We love this incredibly strong-willed, stubborn boy.

Energizer bunny

Benjamin seems to do some much better for pictures if he is allowed to run.  He didn't want to pose for group family pictures on Easter, but we got some good smiles from him after he was allowed to run free.

He was in need of a haircut by that point.  He also had taken a recent spill and had a boo-boo on his head.  His shoes that I got to go with the suit didn't seem to fit well enough and kept flying off.  We went with the Crocs for the sake of safety.

Williamsburg: Day 1

Our first visit to Williamsburg was actually the night of the day we arrived.  After getting checked in we made a quick turnaround and went to Shield's Tavern for High Life Below the Stairs which was a dinner show.

Benjamin didn't stay in his chair for long unfortunately  My camera makes it look much brighter in there than it was for the entire dinner and show.  He decided to stay in mine or Josh's lap for most of the evening.

The actors and actresses walked around during their performance, and they would talk to people in the audience (in between lines) while in character.

They were available outside for pictures afterwards.

We took a bathroom break and then waited around for a ghost tour.  It was a bit of a mistake to plan an evening that required Benjamin to be still and relatively quiet after he had traveled several hours in the car.  He was pretty good considering the circumstances.

The ghost tour was a nice was to start out at Williamsburg as we went around with a group and a guide and she told us stories.

Benjamin didn't care for it. lol

we took turns entertaining him.

My two men. :)

After all of that fun we went to a local grocery store and stocked up for the week (since we had a room with kitchen and fridge).  Benjamin's favorite thing of the night, and one of his favorite words for the week: bench.
