The Great Outdoors

This is Hank.  Hank is Papaw's dog.

This is Hank beside Benjamin.  Note how large Hank is.

This is what Athena thinks of Hank.

Hank is a gentle giant, as you can tell.

Athena, not so giant, and definitely not as okay with Benjamin.
I'm pretty sure she was actually meowing there, not hissing.  lol.

These are some of Benjamin's new shoes -- Adorable Cookie Monster Sandals from Stride Rite.

(Note the cute rolls on his legs.)

Here is Benjamin seeing Hank.

This is the first time Benjamin touched Hank.

Precious...

....and quite slobbery.

Hank's not the only one with slobbers. (See those two bottom teeth on our big boy.)

"Howdy, folks, just out here mindin' the cattle."

"We're all about nursing up here in these parts.  Got milk?"  ;)

As you can see, one of Papaw's cows had a calf.  There are supposed to be two more on the way.

"How 'bout them Moo cows?"

My child is pulling up one everything, is practically crawling, and growing more and more each day!
Time is flying by.  These are some of our most recent pictures, but I'm going to try to play catch-up with some I have taken in the past month.

Ready for summer!

We bought it at the Ashley Lauren Consignment Sale (going on this week).
I wanted to make sure there weren't any holes in it.  There aren't.  ;)

But I don't wanna...

Benjamin has had some tired days where he hasn't been quite in the mood for picture taking.
Even so, he's quite a cutie. ;)

These are from Spring Break when I tried to get pictures way too close to a nap time.
He has a magnificent pout...complete with drool.

And here we are on Easter.  He was tired.
(The child took a way late nap on Saturday, and then he didn't want to go to bed until 12:30...
Then we had to get up for a sunrise service.)
Add to it about 6 people behind the camera all trying to get his attention and making tons of noise, and you have what Josh & I call Benjamin's "Pookie Face."
Loud noises and tired are not a good mix.

Poor baby.  As you can tell from the video in the previous post Benjamin was in a good mood that day, and I have pictures from that "photo shoot" to upload hopefully this weekend.

Benjamin 8.5 months

I have some catching up to do on the blog.  Here's a sneak peak of how our boy is growing!

He liked the sound of the train whistle.  We had a good time on the porch playing with bubbles and watching Athena run around.

Sleep, Baby, Sleep

We've been trying to have Benjamin get used sleeping with a comfort object so that when we do transfer him to his crib at nights then maybe it will make the transition a little easier.  I dread the transition since it seems that I am currently the comfort object, not the stuffed animal.

I couldn't resist this photo op the other day of my two little monsters. ;)

And, just because, more photos of him sleeping. :)

I hope you are all having a wonderful Saturday on this beautiful day.

The other side of the camera

Remember how Benjamin was so excited to see Athena in the outdoor Braves "photo shoot" last week?  This  is what Athena thought of being outside at that moment.  It was very windy.  She's not a big fan of the wind as you can tell.

Last Saturday

I came home last Saturday to find this...

As I could feel this anger starting to rise in me, I noticed that the culprit was still at the scene!
See where that bag (full of diapers, btw) in the front left of the picture has a very stretched out red drawstring?  The little, hungry, rascal had herself all tangled up in it so that she was caught in it as if it were a harness.  I had to untangle her so that she was no longer trapped on our back porch.

I couldn't stay angry very long at this little rascal.  She was the sweetest thing.  I haven't seen her since that day, but I think she belongs to a neighbor or Josh's Papaw.
