Camp Cherokee

Josh took 5 of our youth to Camp Cherokee in conjunction with 3 other local churches.  Benjamin & I visited him on the Monday & Wednesday of camp.  The 1st day we went we took the boat shuttle.  Josh rode out to meet us.

Benjamin wasn't enthusiastic about his vest or hat.

He stayed hydrated.

Napped.

Spent time with Da Da.

And after a long, hot day we arrived home, and he took a bath.

He also started walking much better that week.  He figured out that he could walk without having to go to something.

We had a great time both days.  The second day doesn't have pictures.  It ended up raining.  We enjoyed spending time on the porch in rocking chairs & fellowshipping.

Wal-Mart

We went to the store the other day.  Benjamin was a trooper for most of the trip, but he was due for a nap. I looked down to find him about to tip over asleep.  I stuck my hand out, & you can see the rest.

I ended up picking him up & carrying him the rest of the way including checkout.  

Poor tired baby never budged.

Cuteness x 2

My sweet baby got quite excited about his reflection yesterday.  He quickly decided to explore his sense of taste.  Our mirror is now much need of a washing.

Summer fun

It's not always smiles.  lol.  This is often what he does when I want him to smile for a picture.  

"Chillin' " in the Hot Tub

Our boy is a water baby for sure.  I'm still trying to work out how to use his kiddie pool since we have well water that is both full of iron and freezing cold.  In the meantime...We've turned down the hot tub, and it's a great place to splash!
